Winchester is an independent city in Virginia located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. It is about an hour and a half drive into Washington, DC and under an hour into the Northern Virginia area. Winchester is a rapidly growing area that has now been included in the suburbs of Northern Virginia but still boosts a bit of a rural vibe. Experience all 4 seasons with gorgeous mountain views that allow excellent hiking opportunities as well as winter skiing close by. Experience the lower cost of living compared to the larger cities but still is within short driving distance of the larger cities.
