Looking to get away from the traffic, hustle and bustle of city life? Escape to the Georgia foothills where housing is cheap, the folks are kind, and the scenery is gorgeous. Take a hike to Tallulah Falls, spend the day at any of the beautiful Lakes (Burton, Lanier, Hartwall, Oconee) or hit the Mall of Georgia - all are a short drive away.

Northeast Veterinary Hospital (NEVH) in Cornelia, GA is currently seeking a full or part-time associate veterinarian. We are an AAHA accredited hospital that is focused on providing outstanding patient care and offering the latest in treatments and diagnostics.

We are equipped with digital dental and whole body radiography, ultrasound, photobiomodulation/laser therapy, in-house bloodwork, iSTAT blood gas machine, VetPro 1000 dental unit, electroacupuncture, capnography, Doppler blood pressure, tonopen and PT/rehab equipment. We believe strongly in mentorship, cultivating a positive work environment, daily rounds and CE that is conducive towards long-term emotional, academic and financial fulfillment.

Although our hospital’s doctors and support staff are currently available for emergencies, this is negotiable.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Georgia
  • Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
  • The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members
  • Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
  • Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Proficiency in surgery a plus

Benefits:

Competitive salary, growth bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical Insurance
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Continuing Education allowance
  • Professional Liability Coverage
