We are now searching for pleasant, professional, and fun-loving veterinarians to join our staff.

Skiing… Starbucks… Shopping… Shows… All in your backyard!!

Progressive small animal hospital seeking FT and PT associate veterinarians. We are located in a very scenic area of Pennsylvania, in close proximity to ski areas and state parks, as well as many shows and sporting events at the Mohegan Sun Arena (Wilkes Barre). The location provides easy access to Philadelphia and New York, while providing the benefits of a reasonable cost-of-living, clean air and farm-to-table resources. Our practice provides high quality diagnostic services concentrating on internal medicine work ups with ultrasound and endoscopy/laparoscopy equipment. Additional services include laser surgery, complete in-house lab, EKG, telemedicine, digital radiography, tonometry, blood pressure, in-house pharmacy, residency-trained orthopedic surgeon, and cold laser therapy. We see dogs, cats and exotics. This is an extremely well-equipped facility with an excellent support staff.  Each doctor is assigned a technician and an assistant to work with all day in appointments and in surgery, allowing your focus to be on providing quality medicine, using the Impromed/Infinity software system.  We are in the middle of construction of a new, state-of-the-art building, which will more than double current exam space. In addition, we will have two dedicated surgery suites, dental suite with its own digital radiography equipment, separate digital radiography suite, special procedures room, ultrasound room, comfort room and large treatment/prep room with two wet tables and two dry tables, along with pre-surgery/recovery cages. After hours emergencies are handled by two local emergency clinics.

Candidates must be team players. We stress comprehensive, collaborative medicine. Schedule rotation with three experienced veterinarians allows for a good work/life balance.  Enticing benefit package includes health and dental insurance, 3 weeks paid vacation, 3 paid days for CE, VIN membership, CE allowance, paid PLIT, Professional and DEA licensing, 401 K and other perks. Compensation includes competitive base pay with production-based bonuses, which are substantial for a motivated individual. We are willing to listen to concerns and suggestions from associates and support staff in monthly staff meetings. New graduates welcome, with mentoring available and encouraged. Special interests are supported and resources can be provided to help you grow your passions into viable avenues of practice and income.

We have a wonderful clientele and an excellent support staff that make for an enjoyable work environment.  Please see our website at BackMountainVet.com for more information on all that we have to offer.
