Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is seeking an additional full-time or part-time Emergency Clinician to join our emergency and critical care department.

Our facility is located 10 minutes from beautiful downtown Charleston, SC in the heart of the Lowcountry. In 2011, we built a 16,000 square foot state of the art facility with a full in-house lab, 16 slice helical CT, high field MRI, EMG, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, echocardiography, in house blood bank, full-service rehabilitation department, and a dedicated intensive care unit including mechanical ventilation capabilities. Additionally, we have a full endoscopy suite (flexible and rigid), Stryker 1188 system for minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, arthroscopy), and Ligasure system. In 2012, we were awarded the Veterinary Economics Hospital Conversion of the Year, and in 2015, we were awarded VECCS Level 1 Certification. We are still the ONLY Level 1 Certified Facility in South Carolina!

CVRC has specialists in the disciplines of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Oncology, Rehabilitation, and Critical Care. We have a highly-trained team of emergency clinicians. We have a strong belief in a team-based approach to medicine, and our specialists and emergency doctors work very closely together. The emergency department is supported by specialists 24 hours a day. Our technical staff is highly skilled (including several VTS personnel in ECC and IM) and our patient care and client service are unparalleled. We are committed to delivering an exceptional client experience.

We are looking for an individual that is passionate and excited about practicing the highest quality medicine, strives for excellence, has great interpersonal skills, and approaches patients and clients in a compassionate and empathetic manner. Our management team is committed to these goals and strives to support our clinicians. We recognize that our team members are our strongest assets and value each as both an employee and individual.

We offer an excellent benefit and compensation package. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, pet insurance, paid vacation, sign-on bonus, CE contributions, and a 401k plan with a match.

Charleston has been rated one of the top relocation and vacation destinations in the United States and has miles of beaches, a myriad of outdoor activities and cultural events, and a historic charm that is second to none. It is an exceptionally pet-friendly city, with one of the highest percentages of pet-owning households in the country. I encourage you to visit our website to learn more about our hospital and staff at www.charlestonvrc.com.
