Veterinary Neurology & Imaging of the Chesapeake
Veterinary Neurology and Imaging of the Chesapeake is a neurology/neurosurgery and advanced imaging practice co-located within Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center. At both our locations in the Baltimore - Annapolis corridor, Veterinary Neurology & Imaging of the Chesapeake has dedicated neurosurgery suites, on-site CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, in-house labs and Cadwell electrodiagnostic units. Our practice includes four neurologists, two veterinary anesthetists, excellent and experienced support staff, registered veterinary technicians, MRI technologists, and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. Both locations boast an in-house 1.5 T MRI unit operated by our experienced imaging team that includes an MRI technologist, licensed vet technician and a dedicated veterinary anesthetist. Surgery is performed in both Annapolis and the Baltimore locations, with regular referrals from the co-located emergency hospitals and referring veterinarians. The purpose of this position is to provide a variety of analytical, evaluative, advisory, coordinating, supervisory and technical functions in support of Veterinary Neurology and Imaging of the Chesapeake. Areas of responsibility encompass veterinary practice administration, operational plans, oversight of staff training, oversight of ordering and stocking supplies and equipment, funds and resource management, data automation, staffing, safety and security, and review/evaluation/analysis of the past performance of the practice. The fundamental responsibility of the veterinary practice manager is to effectively use all available resources to provide the best possible patient care to animals treated/handled by the hospital, as well as to ensure the profitability of the practice.
