Colonial Animal Hospital is offering $185,000 plus benefits for a full-time overnight emergency veterinarian for our brand new 24-hour general practice and emergency facility (part-time options also available). We are privately owned and are growing rapidly. We have a full in-house diagnostic lab, digital in-house radiology with teleradiology consults available as well as a brand-new high-quality ultrasound. We are 100% paperless making record keeping easy and efficient. We strive to maintain a low stress and pleasurable place to work. It’s our philosophy that life is too short to no enjoy what you’re doing and we try to staff our facility with like-minded people which creates a very fun and positive work environment. We have a wide variety of cases ranging from routine wellness to emergencies and exotics (seeing exotics optional) which helps to keep things interesting.

We are located in Fort Myers, Florida which is beautiful year-round and a popular vacation destination. Fort Myers is growing rapidly and has a lot to offer. Beautiful beaches, wildlife, outdoor activities, and a wonderful downtown area provide plenty to do on days off. All with a reasonable cost of living.

The full-time position is for 5 x 10hr shifts per week. The ER vet would have their choice of which overnight shifts to work with very flexible scheduling options moving forward. You would have zero clinical or in-hospital responsibilities outside of your regularly scheduled shift. Additionally, the owner is always 100% reachable and available for help as an on-call back up should you need extra help overnight.
