In business for over 40 years. the North Davidson Veterinary Hospital is a full-service animal hospital and will take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Beyond first rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and a very calm environment.

If you love the outdoors, The Yadkin River has attracted a sense of adventure since early times, when a young Daniel Boone and his family lived beside the river. The 110-acre Boone’s Cave Park sits adjacent to the river and offers miles of hiking trails, while further downstream the river flows into High Rock Lake. The lake, which covers 15,000 acres, is the second-largest lake in NC and is known for boating, paddle boarding, swimming and fishing, particularly largemouth bass fishing.

A successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual committed to practicing the highest standard of medicine with a genuine compassion for pets and clients. In addition, good communication skills, appropriate time management skills, and positive work attitude are critical. Our practice philosophy is built around, family, team work, life long learning, service, and personalization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a rapport with clients
  • Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, nutritional needs and preventative care
  • Perform physical exams and diagnostic, surgical, medical, and dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care
  • Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
  • Maintain client-patient medical and surgical records
  • Assist in the development of our team to ensure the highest quality of care and exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

  • DVM/VMD degree
  • Licensure in good standing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to self-manage your time
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
  • Professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
  • Commitment to ongoing educational growth

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive compensation package including health insurance with dental and vision coverage, 401k, professional dues and CE reimbursement, and vacation!

Types of Pets Seen

Because a large number of veterinarians practice at North Davidson Veterinary Hospital, we can care for many types of pets- (Not all veterinarians see exotics and farm animals)

  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Rabbits
  • Pocket Pets
  • Reptiles
  • Birds
  • Small Farm Animals

We also have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care for our clients. Usually the emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life.
