Nassau Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team. We are a progressive, AAHA accredited, six doctor practice. We offer outstanding mentorship and very flexible scheduling~

At NVC, we celebrate the special bond between pets and people!

We dedicate ourselves as veterinarians and staff to providing all pets with the best medical care and recommendations! NVC is an active educator in our community, the exam room, and by supporting our doctors and staff with continuing education classes as well. A well-educated staff with the help of well educated owners work together to provide loving care to all pets.

Our facility is over 6,000 square feet. Inside you will find 5 comfortable exam rooms, a state of the art surgery room, a spacious hospital treatment area and modern x-ray facility. In addition, we have a grooming room, pet training room and an outdoor exercise area where agility classes are held. We can house 100 pets and over 40 team members dedicated to quality patient care!

We are looking for a team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail with a positive and compassionate attitude.

Hours will include weekdays, some evenings and shared Saturdays

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Builds a rapport with clients
  • Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, nutritional needs and preventative treatment
  • Performs physical exams and diagnostic-surgical-medical and dental procedures that delivers the highest quality care
  • Stays current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
  • Maintains client-patient medical/surgical records
  • Assists in the development of our team to ensure the highest quality of care and exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

  • DVM/VMD degree-new grads welcome
  • Licensure in good standing
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
  • Commitment to ongoing educational growth

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive compensation package which includes a base salary plus commission bonuses, Health package with dental and vision coverage,401k, dues and CE reimbursement.
