Full or Part time Associate Veterinarian
Happy Tails Animal Hospital
Happy Tails Animal Hospital is looking for a Full or Part Time Associate Veterinarian who will focus on high quality patient care and exceptional customer service. We are a relatively young, rapidly growing, small animal clinical practice. We currently see dogs and cats of all ages, shapes and sizes and emphasize preventative health care, and routine surgery and dentistry. If the right candidate has a strong interest and background in treating pocket pets, birds or exotics, we could support growth in this area. We have full in-house Idexx lab equipment, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, and paper light computerized medical records. We currently offer soft tissue surgery, no orthopedic surgery, but would be willing to consider expanding. Surgical/Dental patients undergo full pre-anesthetic workups, have iv catheters placed, and are carefully monitored throughout induction, surgery and recovery by our technicians. Every anesthetic patient is monitored with pulse oximetry, EKG, blood pressure (doppler also available), rectal thermometer, and capnograph. The generous support staff is wonderful and well educated, allowing doctors to perform efficiently. We work as a team to offer our patients exceptional medical and surgical care. Our fantastic client base is willing to provide the best care for their pets. Therefore, we have excellent relations with several area specialty/referral practices (all within a short drive from us). All after hours emergencies are referred to the local 24 hour ER facility (approximately 10 minutes away). There is no after-hour emergency work or on-call time. We understand the value of a healthy work-life balance as this allows us to rejuvenate and perform at our best for our patients. Happy Tails Animal Hospital offers a competitive salary (production negotiable) with a comprehensive benefits package. Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, we are conveniently near Hershey, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia. The right candidate would possess precise decision making skills, make efficient use of time, have clear and concise communication skills, and be able to work well with others. He or she should excel in client education and patient care.
