Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists (CVSS) in Towson, Maryland is seeking a full time licensed Veterinarian or a licensed Physical Therapist with CCRT or CCRP certification. We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented therapist who will continue to grow our rehabilitation department and work with our skilled specialty team that includes a certified rehabilitation technician. Expectations include diagnosing and managing individualized treatment plans, communicating directly with referring veterinarians, as well as our in-house surgeons. Our rehabilitation department is equipped with therapeutic ultrasound, therapeutic laser, underwater treadmill and many other rehabilitation modalities.
CVSS is a well-established surgical practice with an exceptional reputation for having served in Maryland for over 28 years. We have locations in Annapolis, Columbia and Towson, Maryland. Our highly motivated, compassionate and collaborative team and includes 7 board certified small animal surgeons, one surgeon that will be taking boards in 2022, 3 residents and 3 surgical interns, 2 certified rehabilitation therapists, 2 CCRVNs & 1 CCRA . We are an ACVS Practice Partner and have a strong residency program with 100% pass rate for all residents that have completed the program. Our practices are partnered with a variety of progressive specialty teams at each location under a collective title of Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center and include: internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, emergency/critical care, neurology, ophthalmology, radiology, radiation oncology, rehabilitation and dentistry. Our emergency clinics provide 24 hr emergency care overnight and on the weekends to all hospitalized patients.
Our facilities are state of the art with the completion of our Columbia location in 2016, completion of our new 28,000 sq ft facility in Annapolis in 2018, and our new 34,000 sq ft facility underway in Towson for a move in date of January 2023.
Our hospitals utilize Sound Eklin digital radiology, oxygen cages, MRI, CT and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Additionally, our hospitals are equipped with a complete array of orthopedic, neurologic and soft tissue instrumentation. Surgeons also have the ability to perform arthroscopy, laparoscopy and thoracoscopy.
