Middletown Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian, or we would love to mentor a new graduate. The position is primarily small animal, but we do have a faithful equine clientele. We also tend to the community’s small ruminant, food and exotic animals, making our caseload quite diverse and exciting.
Middletown Animal Hospital is located in Northern California wine country; just 2 hours north of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco, 1-hour east of Santa Rosa, 20 minutes from Calistoga and the start of the Napa Valley with Sonoma wine country also nearby, close to the Pacific Ocean, and skiing/camping/outdoor sports in Tahoe not far either. We have the cleanest air in California as well as a Mediterranean climate and beautiful countryside! Great bicycling, horseback riding, lake sports, and hiking, plus excellent schools, and world class wines.
Our 3-doctor veterinary hospital offers the very latest technologies: UWTM/Rehab, Laser Therapy, Laser Surgery, PRP, ECSWT, Digital Dental Radiology, DR Digital Radiology, Cat Friendly, New Small Animal US and Equine US, In house blood analyzers, Orthopedic Surgery, Equine Mechanical Dentistry and more.
Our beautiful, new, 4,000+ sq ft free standing facility on 5 acres includes dog/cat boarding, a modest on-site equine facility (stalls, stocks, round pen), horse pastures, and an ambulatory truck. We are exceptionally well equipped and provide top level veterinary care including wellness, surgeries, dentals, and urgent care.

Additional Salary Information: Compensation is equivalent to urban Bay Area hospitals however; housing is affordable with a friendly cost of living. Our current veterinarians enjoy a high quality of life with a 4.5-day work week (4 days one week/5 days the next) and standard work hours 8:30 am - 5:30 pm with a six-figure income plus benefits and sign on bonus of $20,000.
