Expanding fast - Looking for a dedicated, expansion-driven Associate Veterinarian DVM 

 

Who Are We?

Maricamp Animal Hospital was established in 2012. We are about the experience and treating our clients and patients like family! We call ourselves the “Happy Bubble Team” because we believe culture is everything and we want our patients to feel comfortable and stress free from the very first visit. We strive to go above and beyond what is normally expected of an animal hospital with every interaction from customer care representatives to technicians to veterinarians.

 

Location:

Ocala is located in central Florida and is a rural progressive town with endless opportunities for veterinarians. Forbes magazine has ranked Ocala in the Top 10 in the nation for future job growth. Ocala is surrounded by some of the most beautiful horse farms in the world and is known for its 500-acre Florida horse park. Experience our natural beauty through hiking, kayaking, biking, fishing, boating and Motorsports whether it is in Ocala National Forest or one of the lakes or natural springs nearby. Marion county also has some of the top ranked elementary, middle, and high schools in the state of Florida. We are in the center of Orlando, Gainesville and Clearwater.

 

Your mission:

Is to provide our patients high quality medical services while educating the owner on all aspects of their pets health and wellness to ensure they live a long and happy life.

 

Specific duties: 

  • Examine animals and check their health status.
  • Research medical conditions and diseases of pets.
  • Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment.
  • Dress wounds of injured animals.
  • Perform dental, ophthalmic, soft tissue, abdominal and orthopedic surgeries.
  • Education on any and all preventative measures for disease processes
  • Spay and neuter cats and dogs as needed.
  • Stem Cell therapy
  • Platelet Rich Plasma therapy 
  • Laser therapy
  • Calling clients to go over diagnostics and treatment plans for patients.
  • Utilize medications that are efficient and easier for client compliance
  • House Calls as needed
  • No Overnight or on-Call Hours
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Florida License - Veterinarian
  • With Experience or New Graduates - Mentor Opportunities for New Grads
  • Spanish Speaking employees and clientele

 

Required Personality and Behavioral Characteristics: 

  • Personal attributes that allow them to efficiently solve problems, such as outstanding intelligence, perseverance, a personal sense of order, a high level of ethics and responsibility that would allow them to routinely set and achieve goals satisfactorily while leading with positivity; 
  • Personal attribute of a calmness and strength of character necessary to work under the high stress conditions in a veterinary practice; 
  • Qualifications of compatibility, consistency in the fulfilling their duties, personal initiative, teamwork, the ability to correctly analyze situations, a constructive attitude towards criticism; 
  • The ability to be just, empathetic, and maintain good relationships with coworkers and clients, and to possess effective communication skills. 

 

Offered salary & other compensations: 

Depending on your experience and performance record, a range of $95-$110k is planned with additional performance-based bonuses. Pro Sal and Bonus Structure are negotiable. Group Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Aflac, Vacation Time, Veterinary Medical & DEA License Renewal, Professional Liability, CE Allowance
