Caring Hands Animal Hospital is seeking a Medical Director for our Aventura, Florida location. 
 
Caring Hands Animal Hospital is a modern, beautiful, high-end, fully equipped practice located in Aventura, FL. Only 2 miles to the Atlantic Ocean! We are AAHA-accredited and have an open-door policy to provide excellent service to our clients. Our full-service hospital offers state-of-the-art care for our patients including electronic patient records, digital radiography, and an in-house laboratory.  We are open seven days a week (NO overnights).
 
The Medical Director partners with the Practice Manager to provide leadership for the hospital, manage associate veterinarians, and assure regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Medical Director is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered.

In partnership with the Practice Manager, the Medical Director is responsible for the overall management of the practice in 5 key areas:
*Advancing Medical Care
*Staffing
*Practice Culture
*Financial Responsibilities
*Practice Growth

Skills and Basic Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in FL
  • 5+ years experience as a practicing veterinarian.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
  • The ability to delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members.
  • Capable of quality decision-making.
  • The ability to coach, correct, develop, and motivate employees.
  • Demonstrates excellent time and task management.
  • Professional and courteous with staff and clients.
  • Shows commitment to the Caring Hands core values.
