Middletown Vet is a large, private, and highly productive small animal practice in Middletown, Delaware. We have been a staple of the community since 1982 and began simply as a small family operated practice. While we have continually expanded our buildings and our teams to best serve our community, we remain focused on providing the feel of a small family practice which can now offer many services and many doctors conveniently under one roof!

We would like to add Associate Veterinarians to our team. We are excited to connect with dedicated, dependable veterinarians who truly have a passion for animals, as well as excellent people skills to educate owners on options, treatments plans, and the importance of preventative medicine. Our strong focus on clear client communication and education builds trust and creates an atmosphere of learning for all. New graduates are welcome to apply as extensive mentoring is available from our experienced veterinary staff in both surgical, medical, and appointment procedures.

Our mentoring makes our practice different and special because we see it grows strong veterinarians who find their overall skills perfected and niche areas of interest or specialty nourished. Our state of the art facilities provide a wide array of services which allow you to gain experience in many different areas of Veterinary Medicine.

MVH services include ultra sound, laser therapy, CT Scans, x-rays, dental, canine aqua fitness, underwater treadmill, rehabilitation, emergency care, surgery, boarding, grooming, training, and more. You will love our extensive in house laboratory and pharmacy, the digital radiography and CT, and our indoor swimming pool is a must see!

Both Daytime & Evening positions, as well ER Overnight positions are available with flexible scheduling.

-cultivating positive relationships with clients and patients through excellent communication and precise record keeping skills

-educating clients on the importance of preventative care for the health of their pets

-actively engaging with the entire Middletown Veterinary Hospital team in a positive and productive manner

-performing and assisting with surgeries (up to the level of your interest in surgery)

While some areas of Middletown maintain a more small town feel, the new growth and development makes Middletown and surrounding communities a great place to settle down, plant your roots, and find all the necessities of life right in your town. We are also close to the University of Delaware, which has a great downtown with amazing restaurants and shopping.

MVH is just on the border of Maryland, perfect for a day of crabbing! Or we also have some amazing local beaches in Delaware and the bayside close to us in Maryland, which are perfect spots to head to during the summer months. It’s a convenient day trip to any the Delaware beaches! We also have some great parks and hiking areas that you and your pets can enjoy.

Our location is central to some great places to visit. Baltimore, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. are all close by for exploring! You can also enjoy the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania which can be a great weekend getaway, especially in the winter for skiing or snowboarding!
