OUR PRACTICE

Green Meadows Veterinary Service is seeking a full-time veterinarian who wants to work in a friendly, small town practice in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, minutes from Massanutten Resort, the Shenandoah National Park, and both Harrisonburg and Charlottesville.  Our two doctor, small animal practice strives to provide quality care with a personal, practical touch. While we encourage clients to utilize optimal treatment protocols, you won’t experience sales pressure at Green Meadows, and you will find a fun, compassionate staff that works hard to get the best for every patient.

Our practice offers dental and conventional digital radiography, premium IM3 high speed dental equipment, new high quality Samsung ultrasound, and Companion laser therapy.   Two full time LVTs (and 2 more in training) handle most of the routine tasks so that our veterinarians can focus on medicine and surgery.

YOUR NEW WORK LIFE

We are closed for all major holidays and refer all after hours emergencies to one of 3 full service emergency practices in the area as we feel it’s important to ensure our employees have a good work-life balance.  We also work closely with an excellent referral practice just 30 minutes away that offers Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology and Oncology referrals.

Our ideal candidate is a veterinarian experienced in patient care and routine surgery who  wants to join a practice with a potential purchase option to make the practice their own, but we’re happy to mentor a new or recent graduate as well.

  • 4 ½ day work week
  • Paid leave (vacation, sick and CE)
  • Professional expenses
  • Simple retirement plan
  • NO emergency duty

Salary options are negotiable and will be commensurate with experience.  Contact us and come by for a visit to see if we’re a good fit for you.

Candidates must be licensed (or eligible for license) to practice veterinary medicine in Virginia.

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Production bonuses given monthly in addition to base salary. All salary terms are negotiable and will be commensurate with experience.
