Allen Veterinary Centre in Allen, TX is looking for a full or part-time associate veterinarian. We are the first AAHA accredited facility in Allen, and have been established in the community for over 20 years. We are currently beginning the exciting process of renovating our hospital, which will have all new technology (paperless, cloud-based practice management software, tablets), new equipment (upgraded dental x-ray, new IDEXX laboratory machines, digital x-ray, cold laser, etc), and aesthetic design, all designed to capture a younger, tech-enabled and family-centric audience. Our Chief of Staff, Dr. Haixia Kong, loves surgery and dentistry and would be happy to mentor another doctor in these skills, or would enjoy working with an experienced associate as well.

Our group has a young leadership team, led by doctors who support innovation and modern technology, but are maintaining family-owned local flavor with a large emphasis on community involvement. We have significant resources and commitment to forward-thinking tools, technology, and equipment, and encourage suggestions from our employees on how to continue to make improvements. Our goal is to have an industry-leading employee experience in addition to our comprehensive benefits package (including an unlimited CE allowance!).

The primary responsibilities of the associate veterinarian are to practice high-quality veterinary care, provide excellent customer service to our clients, and a dedication to continuing education and development. Our Chief of Staff is available for mentorship, and you will likely work with her 3-4 days per week. Ideal qualities include being personable, confident, hardworking, and dedicated to high-quality companion animal general practice (internal medicine and general surgery).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary, no negative accrual
  • Minimum 3 weeks PTO plus paid holidays for full-time doctors
  • Flexible scheduling available
  • Premier Plan Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO (low deductible, low premium, includes prenatal and fertility care)
  • Unlimited continuing education allowance with PTO for CE days
  • Parental leave
  • 401K + matching
  • Short and long term disability coverage, life insurance
  • Dental insurance

  • Payment of all professional dues/licenses/association memberships/VIN/liability
  • Commitment to professional and personal development through mentorship and coaching
  • Access to career, financial, and mental health counselors

  • Pet care discounts and uniform allowance

Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • DVM or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Texas license in good standing or eligible for licensure in Texas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • The ability to delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members
  • Demonstrates excellent time and task management
