Are you looking for your optimal medical team?  Looking for state-of-the-art facility with a great trained/loyal team, high staff to doctor ratio, and more?   We are hiring for our next associate!  Our Veterinarian-owned  small animal practice is looking for additional talent to join our affluent Skillman, NJ location (just outside of Princeton).   As part of our committed team you will have the opportunity to utilize your experience, skill, and expertise to help us provide a high level of quality care to our community as we continue to add new patients and services.  A positive attitude, excellent bedside manner, interpersonal/communication skills and compassion are a must. Candidate must have a degree from an accredited university and an active license to practice in New Jersey.  Excellent pay based on your experience (mentorship for those less experienced), benefits, PTO, CE, DEA, NJ license/membership reimbursement, liability and health insurance and more!  Potential future ownership can also be discussed!  

In addition to the Essential Duties and Responsibilities of practicing small animal medicine, ie. Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics, candidates should:

  • Follow hospital guidelines for out patient, hospitalized and surgery patients and treatment plans to ensure best patient care and client service are met
  • Answer client questions and provide education on various aspects of animal care and treatment.              
  • Humanely euthanize animals when it has been mutually agreed upon by the patient’s owner.
  • Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs and patient records.
  • Train and supervise team members who handle and care for animals; as needed.
  • Deal with clients and employees in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact and profession
  • Participate in business development as instructed by management and/or ownership.
  • Attend team meetings and other pertinent in-house training.
  • Function in a variety of clinical situations and to render a wide spectrum of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively, efficiently and sensitively with patients, owners, peers, business owner and management, and team members showing compassion, integrity and concern for others. Communication includes speech, reading and writing.
  • Be able to incorporate new information from peers, and medical literature in formulating diagnoses and plans.
  • Show good judgment in patient assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic planning; associate must be able to identify and communicate this knowledge to others when appropriate.
  • Be able to Multi-task.
  • Have strong computer skills in order to obtain and enter client information, order laboratory and diagnostic tests, and receive and send messages.
  • Be Willing to expand responsibilities based on personal growth/position within the organization
  • Enjoy the process of providing best medicine and client service
