Experience is valued; however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply as mentorship and guidance is always available.

Expectations of applicants include:

We are a busy hospital; however, we take the necessary steps to connect with our clients and provide quality care to their companions. While we do have a high standard of care and high expectations for work ethic, we also know that having time outside of work to be with family and friends, and do the things you love the most is crucial. With this in mind we offer a flexible rotating schedule, long weekends once a month, as well as paid time off so you can accomplish more than just your career goals. We also have no emergency hours and only require a 4-hour Saturday morning shift every other week.

We also offer a range of additional benefits including: at-cost care for personal pets, health insurance, paid licensing fees, and paid liability insurance. To further support your growth and education we provide paid CE for general education, as well as support for continued education in your specific areas of interest. We highly encourage you to continue learning and developing your knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine.

We offer a competitive salary + commission and include a signing bonus commensurate with experience. Assistance with relocation costs is also negotiable. If you are looking for a supportive work environment with opportunities for advancement and growth, apply today!

About Porter Pet Hospital
Porter Pet Hospital is a high volume, but high quality small animal hospital located west of Cleveland, OH. Our belief is that quality and thorough animal care should not be cost prohibitive. We are a full-service hospital and provide reasonably priced services ranging all the way from routine neuters and exams to TPLO’s and other orthopedic surgeries. This is all possible through our high quality support staff that helps us embrace our vision. We recently completed an expansion and remodel of our facility in 2020 that has allowed for more clients to be seen, better service, and more comprehensive care through the addition of an underwater treadmill and rehabilitation program. We also accomplish our high level of care through our services like digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, surgical laser, and K-Laser therapy. As we continue to grow and expand we hold true to our foundation of helping those in our community by providing excellent care at a reasonable price.
