Medical Director with buy-in/ownership share potential Towne North Animal Hospital located in San Antonio, TX is looking for an experienced Veterinarian to join our practice as a Medical Director. Established in 1984, Towne North Animal Hospital is a progressive, well-equipped small animal hospital located in north central San Antonio, TX. We are a full service hospital with a high focus on dental care, pain management and preventative care. Our practice has a close relationship with a local specialty hospital for advanced work-ups and surgery, along with ultrasound and other diagnostics, when needed. We primarily treat dogs and cats, but would welcome a doctor that also had an interest in pocket pets! We’re lucky to have loyal clients who continually allow us to care for their pets and provide us referrals! Our Ideal candidate has experience in a general practice setting and is confident in Medince, Surgery, and Dentistry. Experience as a Medical Director, Chief of Staff, Lead Veterinarian, or similar leadership role is highly preferred. For the right person, we are happy to discuss a significant sign-on package to include relocation assistance and even the potential for ownership shares.

Job Responsibilities/Summary The Managing DVM is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Managing DVM is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered. In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing DVM is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Managing DVM are responsible for directing staff and the overall management of the practice, under the direction of NVA Divisional Leadership.
