Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists' team of board certified surgeons (5), specializing in orthopedic, neurologic, ophthalmic and soft tissue surgeries, is looking for two experienced full time veterinary surgery technician to join the team.  Due to our significant growth over the last year and the addition of our 5th surgeon we are expanding our already robust surgery team. The position includes patient intake and preparation, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, radiology, including CT, and all other nursing related duties.

 

To be successful within this role, candidates should possess the following skills:

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team setting
  • Good communication skills and enjoy working with people
  • Enjoy learning new skills and exploring new technologies
  • Excel in technical surgical veterinary nursing skills

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an emergency and/or specialty practice is a plus
  • 1+ years experience as a veterinary surgery technician
  • Knowledge of Animal Intelligence software is a plus.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer technical or bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field.

NOTES:
2 openings.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
