What We Are Looking For Schulhof Animal Hospital, LLC is looking for both a Full Time and 1-2 Part-Time Veterinarians who are licensed or able to obtain a license in Connecticut. Help with child care is a possibility for families with two working parents. We are specifically interested in individuals who are dedicated to whole-pet well- care, enjoy soft tissue and dental surgery, have an open and inquiring mind, and are good communicators.
Veterinarian Compensation We offer a competitive compensation package of $120,000 -$170,000 with monthly bonuses, $2000 Continuing Education Allowance, additional Regional Continuing Education, VIN membership, A Cafeteria Health Plan including Vision and Dental, a Simple IRA Retirement Plan with a 3% contribution, Paid Vacation with unlimited unpaid time off, paid Family Medical Leave beginning in 2022, License fees and Professional Organization Dues, Discounted Pet Care, and additional VIP perks, including help with paying for child care.
Who We Are Schulhof Animal Hospital, LLC is a 75-year-old, fiercely independent, 4-5 doctor, full-service companion animal hospital. We are located in Westport, Connecticut, an upscale, vibrant, suburban community 50 miles from New York City on the shores of Long Island Sound. Leaving no stone unturned, we integrate traditional western medicine with complementary approaches and ancient arts. While adhering to the standard of best care, we practice staying ahead of the curve.
What We Provide In addition to collegial support, we provide a well-trained support staff of Certified Veterinary Technologists, Veterinary Assistants, a Dedicated Reception staff, a Professional Dog Trainer, and an on-site IT Systems and Security Professional to address any technological woes. In our spotless facility you will have access to Full Body DR/Dental Digital Radiology, Tonometry, Doppler Blood pressure, EKG, Ultrasound, Class IV Therapeutic Laser, Cryosurgery equipment, Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, an In-House Blood Chemistry/CBC and Microbiology Laboratory, a well-equipped Surgery with Advanced Monitoring Equipment, an on-line as well as in-house Pharmacy, and a separate Cat Clinic where no dog has ever set foot. We have a Live-in Night Tech and also provide plenty of free parking for our staff and substantial clientele.
How We Operate As a Veterinary Community, we have a collaborative problem-solving process that involves the entire staff. While we are open 6 days a week, Full Time is 4 days with a flexible schedule which includes alternating Saturdays from 8:00- 3:00. We close on time, religiously. There are no night hours. And, there are 5 Emergency and Referral Clinics within a 20-mile radius!
Safety During the Pandemic we have been operating curbside with an air-lock, telemedicine, hand sanitizing stations, room air purifiers, an after-hours ozonator, and lots of provided PPE.
Normal Veterinary competencies. For full-time 32-40 hours/week (four days), including every other Saturday until 3:00.

Schulhof Animal Hospital is legendary in Westport, CT having been in uninterrupted operation since 1946. It is located above the shores of Long Island Sound, with plenty of parking, on a lovely landscaped lot on US 1, one minute from downtown Westport, and only six minutes from either the Merritt Parkway or Interstate 95.Schulhof Animal Hospital is a full- service facility offering integrative and innovative medicine, as well as boarding and grooming. We also have a dedicated Cat Clinic and Cat boarding area, and our doctors are members of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. We are fully computerized and digitized, including full body and dental radiology, ECG, Therapeutic Laser, Ultrasound, Advance Allergy Therapeutics, surgical monitoring, and a lab for blood chemistries, counts, and microbiology. We have a full-time computer systems and security tech on staff to keep everything running.Our doctor’s work is fully leveraged by Certified Veterinary Technicians, who are in turn supported by well-trained Veterinary Assistants. We also have a resident Vet Tech who lives in the hospital apartment, and does nighttime monitoring. In addition, we have a dedicated and super...bly trained Front Desk Staff, who know they are our initial contact with our clients. Our client retention is 30 years and more.In the current pandemic we have put in place robust safety protocols to protect our staff. We are practicing curbside with an airlock, telemedicine, plenty of PPE, an ozonator to sterilize the facility at night, hand sanitizer stations, and room airpurifiers. We are AAHA affiliated.
