Options Veterinary Care, a non-profit veterinary clinic, opened in Reno, Nevada in November 2020. We are excited to add the role of Medical Director to our team! The Veterinary Medical Director will be a valued member of the clinic’s management team.

Our mission is to keep pets and families together even when the cost of veterinary care is out of reach. We are a nonprofit affordable, high-quality veterinary clinic serving Northern Nevada.
Options Veterinary Care is a resource that meets the crucial need for senior citizens and other low-income pet owners as well as those caring for community cats. We serve as a resource for existing veterinary businesses, animal shelters, and social service agencies throughout Northern Nevada. Currently, these agencies struggle to find solutions for people who love their pets but who cannot afford veterinary care.
?Our goal is to decrease animal suffering, economic euthanasia and medical surrenders to animal shelters by providing families the opportunity to obtain needed vet care for their beloved pet.

With an average of over 300 days of sunshine a year Reno is a gateway to fun and outdoor adventure, with The Sierra Nevada, Lake Tahoe ,and San Francisco all within a short drive and offering a wide variety of outdoor activities including boating/kayaking, hiking, fishing, and biking.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university (Required)
Veterinary experience: 5 years (Preferred)
