We are seeking an experienced Lead Vet to lead a team of veterinariansand clinical staff. This progressive, two to three doctor practice will be equipped with a state-of-the-art treatment area, and dental and surgical suites. The facility will be capable of in-house lab work including electrolytes and CBC. Equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, surgical monitoring, a complete pharmacy, and more, this location has everything to give the best care to animals in the community.
We are looking for an empathetic Veterinarian leader who is adept and passionate about prevention, and treatment of practice's patients while focusing on improving their health and well-being. The Veterinarian’s patients will include dogs, cats primarily and / or closely related animals. You will collaborate with team members to uphold ethical practices and medical standards, and to share veterinary knowledge. You will work together with clients to select the best treatment solutions for individual patients, using state-of-the-art pharmaceuticals, materials, and equipment.
To be successful in this position you need to collaborate effectively with clients to create tailor-made health solutions for pets. Preferred candidates are organized, well-informed, and have high emotional intelligence.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Foster a Culture that supports development of Engaged and Empowered Employees as well as continuous improvement.
In partnership with the founders, serve as an overall leader for the animal health clinic leading both clinical and non-clinical team members
Lead and direct processes including doctor hiring, doctor onboarding, doctor development, and management of doctor performance issues, partnering with founders as needed.
Continually evaluate hiring needs and opportunities for growth of the practice, working in partnership with the Founders
Responsible for managing overall practice workflows, ensuring that patient care is delivered in an efficient, safe, and compassionate manner.
Responsible for doctor facing communications including training needs.
Works with the Office Manager and Founders to manage overall hospital financial results, including inventory/supplies and other expenses.
Assist in ensuring the practice complies with the State Veterinary Medical Practice Act, OSHA and AAHA standards.
Ensure Referral Partner relationships are strong and growing by fostering a culture supportive of Referral Partner outreach and CE activities. Ensures that doctors are doing the appropriate referral partner outreach, and coaches them on how to effectively build referral partner relationships so that they can grow their practice.
Oversee patient care issues, referral partner concerns, and responses to client complaints, personally handling escalated client and referral partner issues. Interacts with regulatory boards as needed.
Deliver exceptional clinical care and establish standard of care for the practice.

Assessing and examining patients, and diagnosing their medical issues.
Conducting laboratory tests on specimens to diagnose medical conditions.

Improving patients’ dental health by performing checkups, and cleaning and extracting teeth.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
