Hill Country Animal Hospital is a privately owned, AAHA accredited, small animal practice located in scenic northwest San Antonio/Helotes.  We are seeking a full-time associate veterinarian to round out our five doctor team.  We have an established management team and a healthy, team-focused, professional practice culture.  We are a certified Silver Level Cat Friendly hospital and we practice low stress handling for cats and dogs.  We value work-life balance and believe in developing our staff and encouraging continual growth.

We have a 5.2:1 staff to doctor ratio of professionals who are career minded and focused on teamwork.  Our location provides us with a professional, affluent clientele which allows our team to promote and practice the highest level of medicine while establishing lasting relationships with devoted pet parents.  In addition, we focus strictly on medicine; we do not provide boarding or grooming.  Those services are provided next door at our sister facility The Palms Pet Resort & Spa.

We are a progressive practice utilizing Cutting Edge Surgical Laser, digital radiography, digital dental radiography and therapeutic laser.  We have multi-parameter monitoring equipment, and a full in-house Abaxis lab suite.  Because we believe fully in the importance of diagnostics we have a modern, in-house ultrasound with a trained technician to perform ultrasounds and echocardiograms on site.

Ideal candidates for this position should enjoy collaboration and a team environment.  Our doctors work well together and enjoy helping each other talk through cases and sharing ideas.

While we prefer a minimum of two years experience in a high touch hospital, focused on exceptional medicine and customer service, we would be open to motivated new graduates as well.
