AVS is seeking an associate veterinarian to join our team. You will be joining a team of 9 veterinarians. Mentorship is the norm and collaboration on cases is encouraged. More experienced veterinarians are here to assist new graduates as needed, but you will be in charge of your own cases. If you have a special interest in a field such as dentistry, exotics or acupuncture, we will support and encourage your passion. We are a very busy practice that sees a wide range of medical and surgical cases but have a large team of RVTs, assistants and receptionists to assist you with workload. AVS is equipped with in house lab equipment, ultrasound, digital x-ray equipment, dental x-ray machine, endoscope and a laser to ensure high quality medicine is practiced.

Salary is dependent on experience and may range from 85,000 to 115,000 for a full time position and 65,000 to 75,000 for a part time position.We also offer a sign-on bonus and end of the year bonus.Professional fees, continuing education opportunities, health, dental and vision insurance

Work/home balance is important to us and all of our team. Full time is considered to be 30 hours per week. Veterinarians work 3-4 week days and every other Saturday (9-2). Emergency cases are referred to 24 hour clinics

Forty years later we are the largest small animal practice in the Baton Rouge area and we still aim to provide affordable top-notch medical care for animals, as well as exceptional customer service and education for pet owners.
