About Altitude Veterinary Hospital
Altitude Veterinary Hospital is looking for a DVM to join our team. Currently we are a thriving 6 DVM Practice looking to add a 7th. As the only AAHA accredited Practice in the area, we are seeking individuals who share our passion for providing “A Higher Level of Care!”
Here is what kind of veterinarian we are looking to join our team
•High character values. This means demonstrating integrity, kindness, empathy, and accountability. These are the practice’s core values
•Good work ethic. This means doing the work necessary for our patients. At Altitude Veterinary Hospital we strive to be efficient. We see by being efficient, the work environment is enjoyable
•Team work. This means working alongside others who make you better and you making them better. Expected high professionalism from the team allows cooperative case work and more positive outcomes to our patients. All levels of team members understand this is essential for a properly run business
•To be Mentored. This means whether you are a new graduate or have some experience, we will be alongside you to teach and facilitate your growth as a veterinarian. Learn what we do, then make it better. We can learn t...oo. We expect input from our veterinarians because sharing is vital to growth
Our most important asset is our team members. It is essential to have the right number and the right kind of support. Their support enhances our ability to provide thorough care. They understand why we do the work we do. They appreciate and understand our philosophy of wellness supported by our AAHA accreditation. Second, is our building and equipment. We have a good layout for flow of work and the right kind of tools. Tools include: fracture repair equipment and hardware (1.5, 2.0, 2.4, 2.7, and 3.5 kits), TPLO setup, CO2 laser, acupuncture, PRP, digital (general and dental) radiography, ultrasound, Snyder ICU unit, dental equipment including endodontic tools, and steam and gas sterilizers. We operate 2 practices in town. The original on the westside and the newer one on the eastside. The westside practice includes boarding and grooming. Both have great locations.
Casper is nestled against Casper Mountain and has a population of about 60,000 people. In Casper you will enjoy that small town feel yet have most conveniences you will find in a big city. During the winter you can enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling on Casper Mountain. During the summer, with some of the countries’ best fishing, and camping, Hunting is in the fall and is a huge activity for many. Casper attracts the most enthusiast outdoors people.
The DVM will report to the Practice Manager and be under the medical guidance of the Chief Medical Officer and Owners. We offer a very competitive pay and benefit structure to commensurate experience.
Our DVM’s do share taking on call responsibilities as well as cover Saturday mornings. Only one practice is open on Saturday. We do know that work life balance is essential. With the number of Doctors that we have, this helps share the work amongst several instead of only a few. There are additional ways we try to ensure that our DVM’s can still have a well-deserved work life balance.
If you feel that this would be a good fit, please apply and feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
