Associate Veterinarians Wanted for Family-Owned, Small Animal Practice

Our progressive, 5 doctor, small animal practice is looking to add 2 more full-time veterinarians.

Our stand-alone facility was built and opened in 2012, and it is well equipped to provide high quality medicine on the day of the appointment.

Our Facility:

We recently gave the 7,400 sq ft facility a facelift to make it more efficient and pleasant to serve our clients and patients.

Work Week:

Most weeks doctors will work four days and have three days off.  Doctors rotate weekend shifts. Because we have several emergency practices in our area, our doctors are not on call.

Work Environment:

We’ve worked in corporate medicine and have been frustrated with all the hoops we were made to jump through and the time it takes to effect even small changes such as stocking a new drug. You won’t have to deal with that here. We typically have quarterly doctors’ dinner meetings that allow them to discuss requested changes. We appreciate our doctors making suggestions to improve our practice.

Many practices say they are a family. At CAMC, we really are family. The owners are a father/daughter doctor team leading the medical side of the practice and their wife/mother managing the financial and HR side. We have departmental managers in place to allow our doctors to focus on medicine instead of dealing with administrative duties. You went to school to practice medicine, so we want you to do that.

CAMC has many long-term team members, both doctors and para staff. Our current team consists of 5 experienced veterinarians who are eager to offer their mentorship and collaboration. We average 3 doctors on schedule on weekdays           and 2 on weekends, so young doctors aren’t left on their own without mentorship. Multiple area veterinary specialists are a phone call away for consultation.

While we like to chat and joke around during our workday, we don’t tolerate cliques or drama to bring negativity to our team. Due to the demographics of our area, our client compliance is above average which allows our doctors to recommend and perform high-quality medicine.

• Ideally located off I-75 on a major highway in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, one of the fasted growing planned communities in the country.
• Half an hour away from the world-famous Siesta Key and Bradenton Beaches.
• Less than 2 hours from Orlando with Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios.
• An hour from Tampa with the Buccaneers NFL football team, the Lightning Hockey Team, and the MLB Tampa Bay Rays.
• Bradenton, Sarasota, and Tampa host MLB Teams from around the country for their Spring Training Camps.
• ½ -3-hour drive from multiple international airports and 3 cruise ports makes it convenient to explore the world during your time off.

Qualifications:

New graduates, soon to be veterinarians, and experienced doctors are encouraged to apply. Our goal is to hire someone who will become an integral part of the practice and the community for years to come.

Superb clinical skills                                                                        Fluent in the English language both verbally and in writing

Compensation

With a guaranteed base and production bonus, there is no upper limit to your compensation. Doctors are compensated based on a modified ProSal program with No Negative Accrual.
