WHO WE ARE:

Animal Hospital of Lake Villa is a multi-doctor, AAHA accredited practice that provides preventative, surgical, and diagnostic services to its patients. We are a highly passionate group of individuals who value the importance of practicing the very best medicine with the most compassionate care. We believe in reducing the fear, stress, and anxiety that our patients may experience during a visit. Our staff is required to become Fear Free Certified and use the Fear-Free approach with every patient. We provide a full range of services including diagnostic testing, digital radiography, video otoscopy, ultrasound, laser therapy, surgery, preventative care, radiology, and dental cleaning, care, and oral surgery.  We a dog and cat small animal practice. We are equipped for exotics and will encourage anyone with an interest in this area.

The rapidly growing area of Lake Villa is in the Chain O’Lakes region with neighboring towns like Grayslake, Round Lake, Gurnee, Antioch, Fox Lake, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, and more. Only a 50-minute drive from downtown Chicago or Milwaukee, it makes for a great escape into a roaring nightlife, lots of history, and amazing sites. Other local attractions include Six Flags Great America and Gurnee Mills Mall which are only a 10-minute drive from the Animal Hospital itself! There are also many dog parks, nature preserves and beaches nearby for all the nature lovers out there.

Our passion is animals and our mission is to deliver the highest quality care to our patients while serving the community. We have a high belief that when we take care of our team, our team takes care of our clients and our clients take care of our team. We believe that all work should be done with compassion, integrity, and good intention. We also believe in being a strong part of our community with regular volunteer opportunities and involvement in community events. Due to our unique management strata, we make sure that our doctors can focus on delivering the very best medicine with a 4 to 1 staff to doctor ratio, and that’s not including our three managers ready to jump in at any moment when needed.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for a licensed veterinarian, from new graduate to seasoned veteran. An individual who is motivated to get the job done and is a great communicator. Both of our current veterinarians have over 30 years of experience. We are a member of the AAHA mentorship program and Dr. McGinniss has been featured in AAHA Trends magazine due to his mentorship work with new graduates. We’re looking for someone who can provide services for best patient care and the mutual advancement, growth, and expansion of the team and practice. Animal Hospital of Lake Villa takes pride in community involvement, working with rescue groups and encourages volunteerism for the greater good of the community and animals.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: We offer a competitive salary based on experience and with the opportunity for bonuses on production. We have a fixed schedule with no emergency hours or on-call hours, and continued education opportunities. Other benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, retirement plans and membership registrations for the CVMA, ISVMA, AVMA, and AAHA.
