About the position: Are you tired of the corporate model of veterinary services? Just getting started in your vet career? Are you ready to make a difference for thousands of companion animals across Alaska? Come join us at the Alaska SPCA! We are interested in adding a talented, energetic and positive Veterinarian to our growing team based in Anchorage, Alaska.  The AK SPCA Clinic provides low-cost spay and neuter services, dental and surgical procedures, and basic care for dogs, cats, and rabbits.  Staff veterinarians typically work a 40-hour (4-10s) week with two days of S/N, one of dental/surgeries, and one of exams.  Our vets also provide care and support for our animal shelter. There are no evening shifts and a rare weekend shift rotated among docs for a free S/N clinic.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited veterinary school; eligible for state licensure and DEA registration.  Recent graduates will be considered and board certification is not required. Salary will be based on years of experience.
