Position Overview

Pine Animal Hospital is in search of veterinarians eager to join us in our commitment to providing high quality medical and surgical care in a friendly, customer service oriented environment. We are a continually growing practice located in downtown Long Beach, less than a mile from the beach. We are a completely paperless practice with state-of-the-art equipment including in-house lab machines, digital ultrasounds, digital whole-body and dental radiography with AI reporting, ultrasonic dental scaler, video otoscope, digital microscope, multiparameter monitors, electrosurgery machine, and K-Laser cold laser. Furthermore, we have Board Certified Surgeon's and Internal Medicine Doctor's that we collaborate with and come in for advanced cases when we need. They are all great teachers as well, so the learning and advancement of knowledge and skills never stops. All of our records, including images and lab results are kept in the cloud, and our client communications platforms include phone, email and text messaging. Yes that means you don't have to spend hours after appointments sitting in the hospital to finish medical records. Needless to say, we pride ourselves on using technology to create the best possible work-life experience for our whole staff while delivering the best pet care experience possible for our patients and clients.

The ideal candidate is seeking a job where continual and constant development of medical knowledge, surgical skills, growth, teamwork and client education are not just promoted, but completely supported. We are looking for candidates who have a sense of purpose about practicing best-in-class medicine the right way (without any expectations of upselling and quotas). Personality and good communication skills are the traits that we are looking for most. Whether you are looking for full-time or part-time, a general practitioner with a special interest, or specialize in an alternative medicine, we will support your needs to achieve your goals. Highly competitive salary is base + production bonus.

Location

Our practice is located in Long Beach, CA. With a downtown location just blocks from the beach, we provide care to dogs and cats in the greater Long Beach area, southern LA County, and Northern Orange County.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree
• Highly motivated with a strong sense of purpose to provide high quality medical care
• Commitment to ethics and integrity
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Strong organization and time management skills, and attention to detail

• LIFESTYLE: We are a lifestyle practice. While we have production bonus, we don’t have production quotas. This is not a sales job and you will never be told that you’re not offering or pushing enough services or products. You will rarely if ever work beyond your scheduled shift.
