City Dog Vet is a two-doctor, canine-only practice seeking an Associate DVM to join our AAHA-accredited team.  Newly opened in 2020 on the isthmus, we’re right in the heart of exciting downtown Madison!  As the sister clinic to the long-time established Cat Care Clinic, we’re thrilled to offer canine-focused care within a modern environment and filled with dog-centric staff & clients.  Within our state-of-the-art facility, you’ll find a team-oriented atmosphere where wellness and quality of life are prioritized for our staff.  You’ll also enjoy a four-day work week without emergency duties or weekend work, all with assistance from a skilled team of CVTs and support staff. 

Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or a stellar recent graduate, it’s also our goal to advance your professional development.  Our hospital provides full-service care, including advanced surgeries such as cruciate repairs and TPLO.  We also have the latest in diagnostic equipment: ultrasound, Cuattro DR radiographs, and specialized dental equipment & radiographs.  Need to refer for a specialist consultation?  We have that covered too with access to a local internist and neurologist for consults and on-site care.

We expect that as a veterinary professional, you will have basic surgical skills and understand the day-to-day requirements of seeing and treating patients.  In addition to those duties, we’re looking for a candidate with Wisconsin veterinary licensure (or the ability to obtain), exemplary communication skills (client-facing and internal with our incredible team), a compassionate & understanding attitude, and a commitment to high-quality care.
