Whether you’re an experienced surgeon or if you are starting in your career and have a desire to learn, Tryon Equine Hospital offers a collaborative, professional, long-standing team. The surgeon will complement a team of eight veterinarians, including three board-certified surgeons, one board-certified internal medicine clinician, and ambulatory associates. Patient care is further supported by a team of 15 technicians and five administrative staff. Board-qualified surgeons with a strong interest in sport horse lameness and performance are invited to apply. The position comes with a competitive benefits package, including a signing bonus, health insurance, PLIT, 401K, AAEP, AVMA, ACVS, licensing, and a competitive salary.

Our 17,000-square-foot facility is a regional referral center, serving several surrounding states and our rapidly growing local performance horse population. Three equestrian show facilities are located within 15 minutes of the hospital, including Tryon International Equestrian Center. Tryon is a four-season equestrian community located in the foothills of North Carolina and is home to multiple equestrian disciplines.
