VCA Shrewsbury Animal Hospital located in Oakhurst, New Jersey is looking for an Associate Veterinarian who enjoys practicing advanced medicine with a cohesive, tenured team.

We are a long-standing veterinary hospital with a brand-new veterinary facility that just relocated within the Green Leaf Pet Resort in Oakhurst New Jersey. We have 2 full-time doctors and 1 part-time doctor. Our Medical Director Dr. Crystal Bowman DVM, is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine - Large Animal. Dr. Ticktin is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has worked for VCA for 13 years.  Every Week Dr. Weinstein, VMD, a Diplomate of the American College Veterinary Surgeons joins our team and offers surgical consults to our patients.  We offer Class IV laser therapy for acute and chronic injuries and wound healing, Ultrasound, and digital dental and whole-body radiographs. Our hospital has a huge focus on work life balance and maintaining a stress-free environment for our staff. The added benefit for our clients being located within Green Leaf Pet Resort is they offer luxury boarding suites, dog training, doggie daycare, grooming, and a salt water pool for dog swimming lesson.

Full-time with no on-call shifts. Hospital hours are Monday – Friday 8-6pm and Saturday 8-4pm.

We are an hour from New York City and only an hour and a half from Atlantic City. We are minutes away from Sandy Hook Gateway National Park which has some of the best beach areas, fishing, biking and jogging trails, camping, and great views of the NYC skyline. There is also Point Pleasant Beach and Jenkinson’s Boardwalk located thirty minutes south and offers numerous family fun activities including Jenkinson’s Aquarium and great nightlife! There are hundreds of excellent hiking trails and parks located within a close proximity. There are so many great day trips for the adventurous person looking to get away from everything and enjoy great mountain views.
