A Gentle Goodbye Veterinary Hospice may be just the career change you are looking for! We are a unique practice focusing on end of life care, including euthanasia and hospice, exclusively in the comfort of the patient’s home—allowing an experience unable to be replicated in any clinic! We also provide our own aqua-cremation (water-based cremation) allowing the pets we help to stay within our team’s care from start to finish.

We are a small, independently-owned company, and we have provided hospice care in the Chicagoland area since 2012. As the demand for our services is growing, we are looking to add an additional doctor to our wonderful team!

Because our clients seek out our services, we are fortunate to have an above-average clientele. The ideal candidate:

• Lives in Chicago (preferably in or near the Lake View area)
• Has at least 2-3 years of work experience
• Wants to make a difference for their patients and clients

• Enjoys a flexible, adaptable schedule
• Is seeking competitive wages and great benefits
• Desires to experience an incredibly satisfying field of veterinary medicine

If this describes you, we may be the perfect fit! The majority of our appointments are in northern Chicago, although further driving is often required. Income is 100% production-based with an average of at least $120,000-$130,000 easily expected, with significant bonus opportunities and excellent benefits. Our current veterinarians love this payment method as it allows for more flexible scheduling and valuable time with their loved ones. A salary-based income can be discussed in the future if desired.

We are looking for either a part-time or full-time veterinarian, and are open to scheduling that works for you and your lifestyle.

Our full-time schedule (rotating every other week) is:

• Only a 4-day work week.
• NO additional on call duties required.
• NO more than 3 consecutive workdays.
• Every other weekend OFF.
