Vancouver Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced urgent care doctor to aid in developing new extended hours for urgent care/emergency cases. Our goal is to help support the current high demand for urgent care/emergency animal care in our community.

• Experience with urgent care/emergency medical cases
• Experience with critical-urgent care/emergency surgical procedures (including, but not limited to, laceration repairs, wound explores/repairs)
• Understanding the nature of Triage
• Ability to take manage/lead the team of extended-hours support staff
• Ability to multitask and take on a wide variety of caseloads at the same time
• Ability to work as a collaborative team under the practice manager/medical director to uphold the standard of care that Vancouver Veterinary Hospital maintains
• Experience with Exotics is a plus but not required.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to continuously learn and teach.
• Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, analytical and observational skills
• 1+ years of experience in urgent/emergency setting
• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school
• Active, non-restricted veterinary license
• Passed the NAVLE or ECFVG
