Southern California Veterinary Hospital & Animal Skin Clinic is seeking a veterinarian to join our team of experienced doctors! If you are looking to take the next step in your career into a leadership position, we would love to speak with you, as the Chief of Staff position is available for an experienced doctor looking to lead our team.

We are a multi-doctor, full-service animal hospital in Woodland Hills, California. Our hospital is uniquely positioned both in terms of experienced staff and excellent clientele. We emphasize teamwork and we have six RVTs that support us. We use everyone to their highest capacity, and this means that veterinarians, for the most part, examine, prescribe, and do surgery while most other tasks are done professionally by others. This creates a unique reduced-stress environment. We also emphasize collegiality and have a great working rapport and inviting culture that makes coming to work enjoyable.  Much of our staff is long-term and stable.  We emphasize resilience and we bounce back in support of each other from those inevitable days that challenge all of us.

Our Mentorship

For new grads who join our team, we invest our time to ensure you get the support, time, and guidance for your first job out of vet school. Our approach to bringing new grads aboard includes:

• Structured orientation and mentorship program
• Opportunities for Zoom calls and round table discussions with other new and recent graduates.
• New grad peer advisors for networking and support as you navigate your first DVM position.
• Slack group discussions to connect you with additional experienced vets for case reviews, connection, and advice.

Our shifts are 8 hours straight with ample time for clients and callbacks. They range from 8-4 to 10-6, and to 12-8 with evening shifts open currently.  We work as a team so that cases are passed off via email rounds to other veterinarians and days off are usually not interrupted.  We are closed on Sundays.
