  Munford Animal Hospital is a privately owned small animal practice located about 30 miles north of Memphis in west TN.  We are looking to add a full time associate to our practice.  We have 4 veterinarians currently on staff. We believe in a good work life balance at our practice so we do not see cases after hours or on weekends. All after hour emergencies are sent to an emergency clinic in Memphis. Full time associates work 4 days per week. We believe in paying our associates appropriately and will offer a strong package to the right candidate. New graduates typically start out with a base salary of 120k/year and receive a signing bonus. Experienced veterinarians will have a higher base salary depending on their prior career in veterinary medicine. Each associate also has the opportunity for production bonus each month. An insurance stipend and retirement plan (matching simple IRA) are also offered. Our facility has up to date diagnostic equipment (in house Idexx CBC and chemistry analyzers, digital radiography, ultrasound, surgical and medical laser, etc.). 

 

We also offer a paid externship for 4th year veterinary students. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced veterinarians. It also is a good way to determine if our practice would be a good fit for an individual seeking an associate position. We pay $2000 for a 3 week externship and $1500 for a 2 week externship.
