Valley Veterinary Hospital and its owner : Lindsay Shreiber, VMD are looking for a veterinarian to join our staff and to continue to deliver our mission: To make a difference in the lives of our clients and patients through the practice of veterinary medicine delivered with Care, Commitment , and Compassion. Valley Veterinary Hospital is recently moved into its landmark, historic renovated space consisting of 20,000 sf . The practice is privately and individually owned by a U of PA 1991 graduate who is dedicated to the success and mentorship of all of the practice constituents.
The practice boasts 5 exam rooms, 2 surgeries, 2 treatment rooms, a TLC room, a dual dental suite , digital radiology , ultrasound and a further extensive equipment list to allow you to practice to the extent of your education . We are 4 veterinarians looking to expand as we continue our community growth . The practice has 4,000 sf dedicated to dog - daycare on a 2.8 acre site which also has 10,000 sf + of fenced in out door space.
Our location is 20 miles west of Philadelphia in Phoenixville, PA. The location offers access to hiking , biking , horse trails, kyaking, or just plain walking your dog !
We work a 4 day work - week with no overnite emergencies. Saturdays are via a rotation and Sundays are required only on as needed bases for weekend hospitalized animals . Please see below for our substantial compensation package. We are active within our community and maintain, as part of our mission , relationships with shelter and rescue groups. We have gotten into our wonderful profession because we love animals, our relationships with them , and our interests in the biological and medical sciences. We dedicate ourselves to practicing this every day .
Ability to see sick and well cases. Ability to communicate empathetically with clients and staff, handle patients in a gentle and caring manner, perform medicine and surgery. The weekly schedule will comprise a day off during the week, 2 daytime shifts and 2 evenings. Rotating 1 every 2 or 4 Saturdays . Sundays are ON -call ONLY for any in hospital cases. Candidate must be able to perform the duties commensurate with a graduate veterinarian in a private practice setting and lift 40 lbs. Covid 19 vaccination, for the protection of our staff and clients is a requirement . Skills and interests in Rehab, Behavior, Exotics or Surgery are a plus !
