Palmer Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time associate veterinarian to come join our team.  We are a privately owned clinic (owner is a full-time practicing vet) that is very well equipped with modern equipment/lab in a newer facility that was specifically designed as a veterinary clinic.  An amazing team consisting of over 18 support staff members including five LVT’s. The owner and two current associates are very dedicated with lots of experience between them and enjoy discussing cases/performing surgeries together.  Because of the culture and the quality of the medicine that we practice, the regional Hills rep, the traveling ultrasonographer, traveling cardiologist, and the local police department all come to us for their pet’s care. 

The owner believes in working hard while at the clinic but being able to enjoy your time off when you are not working.  To support this, associate veterinarians work four set days each week and see appointments and/or perform procedures from 8:00 to 6:00 with an hour and half break in the middle of the day-no after hours or weekend work.  There is also an opportunity to work a schedule where you get a four-day weekend every other weekend that can be discussed during an interview.  Clinic also has a recreation cache full of gear that staff can borrow to get out and enjoy Alaska (i.e. boats, canoes/kayaks, camping/backpacking gear, snowmachines, fishing gear, etc.).
