Caring Hands Animal Hospital offers a breadth of opportunities for a small animal veterinarian at our AAHA-accredited, fear-free certified, multi-doctor, and privately owned hospitals! We have several hospitals located in Virginia and Maryland! 

Centreville, VA                  Clarendon, VA                  Rockville, MD                   Ashburn, VA 

What you can look forward to as an associate at Caring Hands Animal Hospital: 

• Not working over 40 hours/week. You can expect a 4-day work week with a rotating Saturday shift and no on-call responsibilities. Choose 6, 8, or 11-hour workdays and create the work-life balance you’ve dreamed about. We will work with you to find a schedule that allows you to thrive both inside and outside of work! 

• Established mentorship program. We love new graduates! Caring Hands Animal Hospital has created an established mentorship program for new graduates and experienced veterinarians to ensure you feel supported in your career goals and professional growth. Mentorship is provided by Caring Hands’ multi-doctor team and includes:  

• • Being assigned a medical mentor  
  • 2+ hours dedicated time weekly for case reviews and meetings 
  • 6-8 weeks of surgical skills mentorship with new graduates as needed 

• Designated veterinary scribes. You can focus your time and attention on treating your patients with the aid of your vet assistant. Vet assistants bring clients into exam rooms, collect your patient's history, help with routine procedures (blood draws, catheter placements, etc.), and scribe for your appointments. The teamwork that we implement in our everyday practice ensures our hospital operates smoothly and efficiently. 

• Transparency with windows in all rooms! Our practice was built with the clients and patients in mind. We value transparency and fear-free medicine which we demonstrate by:  
  • Having windows into all areas of the hospital including the surgery suites for clients to watch if they choose
  • Keeping our patients in the exam rooms with their families to perform routine procedures and treatments to avoid separating them from their loved ones 
  • Reserving time for clients to visit their pets in the hospital after surgeries

• $120,000+ prosal paid on 21% production – no negative accrual
