If any or all of these questions have yes as the answer, you may want to look at what we have created for you.  PetWellClinic® was created way back in 2010 as an answer to patient access and to veterinarian work overload.  Although we have over 20 locations in the US with commitments for over 150 more, we are not funded by private equity. Each PetWellClinic® is owned and operated by individual well-meaning people like you who want to help people and their pets.  If we may, we are not asking you to own one; we are asking you to work in one. 

Our founder, Sam Meisler, also a veterinarian, looked at the state of veterinary medicine back in 2010 and noticed that there was no room for the pet equivalent of the family doctor. Instead, veterinarians had to be a “jack of all trades and master of none.”  No wonder, we are all so burnt out! So he created the pet family doctor position as the only veterinarian position a PetWellClinic® offers. 

Just as your family doctor does not perform surgery, take radiographs or take care of hospitalized patients, nor does a PetWellClinic® veterinarian.  Our veterinarians take care of every day needs such as ear infections, skin problems, bumps and bruises, other minor ailments and chronic conditions, triage and referral, as well as routine veterinary preventive care.  And to prevent veterinarians from being overworked, no PetWellClinic® can be open for longer than eight hours per day.  Some thought he was crazy.  But it has worked.  Our veterinarians are happy and stay many years.  He even eliminated phone calls coming into a PetWellClinic®. Our veterinarians are never interrupted to answer a staff member’s question while some client is on hold.  We are a walk-in clinic so there really is no need for incoming phones.  We do call clients back, of course, for results and other communications, and also use text and email.

And finally, we are nothing without our values.  We practice our values every day and we use them to screen who even has the wonderful opportunity to own a PetWellClinic® or work in one.  Our values are openness, community, service, growth and kindness.
