Associate DVM

Southpoint Animal Hospital, located in Durham, NC, is looking for a full-time Associate DVM to add to our growing practice. We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian that wants to practice high-quality medicine, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and supporting a positive work environment.

Southpoint Animal Hospital is a 5 doctor, small animal practice in South Durham. We opened our doors in 2010 and have been happily serving NC patients and clients since.

We are a primary veterinary care facility that strives to deliver quality wellness and preventive care, progressive medical care, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, comprehensive dental procedures, laser therapy and diagnostic ultrasound.

• 7 exam rooms (1 dedicated to felines), plus ample space to accommodate drop off services

Job Requirements

• Holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• Has a North Carolina State Medical Board license (in good standing)
• Makes decisions for the benefit of clients and patients, alike
• Communicates clearly and effectively with clients and team members
• Demonstrates compassion toward clients, patients, and team members
• Commits to practicing the highest standards of medical care and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Desires a consistent work schedule, and has availability to work some Saturdays
• 1-year or more of experience is preferred
• Proficient in general surgery
• Proficient in dentistry a plus

Our 5 veterinarians, along with a highly skilled team of nurses, technicians, and client care advocates, proudly practice the highest level of medicine while also providing excellent customer care. Each patient and their parents are treated as individuals with unique needs and desires. The patient's well being, both physical and mental, is our top priority. We do not have evening, Sunday or on call hours and we are closed the first Saturday of every month.
