• Our Location: We are located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, situated amidst the ongoing activities of Port Townsend and the nurturing aspects of nature in our temperate climate. This is a unique area with early Native American roots and Victorian architecture along with a long maritime history. Whether you like exploring the outdoors with hiking and kayaking, historic landmarks, downtown hangouts, or being surrounded by farms offering organic and local food, Port Townsend has much to offer. With our unique placement, we are only two hours from Seattle, an easy ferry ride to the San Juan Islands or Canada, along with accessibility to the Olympic National Park for day and overnight hiking and exploring.
• Our Care: We are an AAHA-accredited hospital, well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We have the capacity to offer services to avian and exotic patients and have clients interested in and committed to Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. We believe in giving pets the longest, healthiest life with those who love them by providing excellent, comprehensive, medical/client care to promote and support the human-animal bond.
• Our Mentoring: We offer a comprehensive mentoring program for newly licensed veterinarians to help them be prepared for a variety of situations while giving them the safety to practice their newly learned skills. The program is designed and tailored to the needs of each individual. We have a great team of kind and supportive DVMs and staff who are willing to pass on wisdom to a great new generation!
• Our Staff: We are fortunate to have a staff committed to our belief in Every Pet. Every Person. Every Time. leading to low turnover and one that continues to grow their skills. We believe in and practice Nonviolent Communication to allow non-judgemental listening and build self-empowerment from the inside out.  Maintaining a positive culture and open communication is widely valued.
• Our Schedule: Our hospitals offer clinic hours Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. The schedule consists of 30-minute appointment times and a 90 minutes midday break for lunch and to catch up on needed procedures if needed. We utilize the services of local emergency services for overnight concerns and emergencies to eliminate the need for on-call duties for DVMs.  We offer full-time (4 days) or part-time with or without surgical responsibilities. There are always other DVMs on the floor and available to help and discuss urgent cases and generally collaborate. WE offer vacation time flexibility with many associates enjoying 4 or more weeks a year.
• Our Compensation: We offer a flexible pay package (salary, Pro-Sal, or production) with a competitive wage, signing bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

• Primary care veterinary medicine for dogs and cats through all stages of life.
• Wound care
• Chronic disease management
• General surgery, DVM dependent
• General dentistry, DVM dependent
• Collaborative participation as part of the medical team with clear and respectful communication with colleagues and team members
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
• Ongoing professional development

Salary:

• Range of $100,000 - $140,000+
• $25,000 signing bonus for full time
• Flexible pay package

Education:

• DVM or equivalent

License/Certification:

• Washington License to practice Veterinary medicine (Required)
