Mixed Animal Veterinary Practice in Connecticut seeks Full-Time Veterinarian

Roxbury Animal Clinic is a mixed animal veterinary practice situated in beautiful Litchfield County, where traditional farming culture meets modern lifestyles and high-quality veterinary medicine is practiced on all species, with a common sense, hometown approach. This is the modern-day, Connecticut-style version of All Creatures Great & Small.

Our caseload is approximately 60% small animal and 40% large animal (equine & farm). There is some seasonal variation. Each doctor spends time completing surgeries, office appointments, and farm calls throughout the week. We have an excellent support team, including six credentialed veterinary technicians and multiple capable assistants and front desk staff. Our team is an extension of our family; we love working together each day and we have fun while doing it! 

We are lucky to have the most up-to-date in-house blood analyzers, radiology equipment, dental equipment, ultrasound equipment and laser therapy. We manage our own on-call service and have multiple small animal and equine specialty hospitals nearby with specialists available for assistance with case management. 

RAC is rapidly expanding with an ever-increasing volume of new clients, patients, and demand for veterinary care in the area. Construction will be starting imminently on a brand new, state-of-the-art 5,000 sq-foot small animal hospital and an 1,800 sq-foot large animal barn. This new facility will be built on property adjacent to our current clinic and will be completed by 2025. This project will allow us to continue working in our current clinic as is, until the new hospital is completed.

We value mentorship and work-life balance for our doctors and staff. We offer a competitive benefits package and weekly work schedule designed to support a healthy work-life balance. Starting salary is dependent upon experience but will range from $95,000 to $150,000 per year.
