Is emergency medicine your jam but you hate the crazy hours?  River Oaks Animal Hospital is a well established, highly reputable small animal, privately owned facility in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC.  We are moving into a new, state of the art facility in the spring of 2024.  With more space we want to expand our services to better help our community.  We are currently looking to add 1-2 Urgent Care veterinarians to our team.

We take our mission statement seriously as we know pets are only half of the equation.  While we know that you love animals, because why else would you be in the field, but we want you to have a passion for the people that bring them to us.  We base a lot of what we do on how we can help others which creates work-life FULFILLMENT!

Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years of experience in veterinary medicine (doesn't have to be emergency)
• Enjoys helping others
• Loves working WITH a team
• Positive and can laugh at yourself sometimes
• Excited about emergency medicine but not necessarily the hours
• Feels refueled with learning and expanding skills

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
• Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of South Carolina
• At least two years of experience as a veterinarian
• Ability to work rotating Saturdays and Sundays (eventually)
• Ability to independently lift and/or move up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods and work in a bent position
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
