Lena Veterinary Clinic has an open position for large animal veterinarian. Our clinic is a 10 veterinarian mixed animal practice that services Southern WI and Northern IL. We are open to new graduates or experienced veterinarians. We strive to provide great mentorship for new graduates. Our veterinary clinic strives to be a full-service clinic. We have a robust business model with a core philosophy of providing appropriate time for personal life. The opportunity for future ownership is also present if the candidate desires. Description of the new position:

Position is predominately cattle with varying amounts of small ruminant or equine given the applicant’s interest. Dairy and beef herd sizes are variable in the region, so a veterinarian will have a high level of variability in day-to-day work. DVM will be involved in reproductive management (ultrasound if preferred), milk quality with an in-house bacteriology lab, protocol writing and updating, and general sick animal work with the ability to run in house blood work. Person may also choose to do embryo/IVF work.

The Community:  Lena and Freeport are in the beautiful rolling “driftless” region of northwest Illinois.  There is ample recreation opportunity for the outdoor enthusiast. If you crave bigger city life, we are located about one hour from Madison, Rockford, and Dubuque, and it’s just a two-hour drive to downtown Chicago.
