MedVet is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our Lexington, KY hospital.  We are looking for doctors to primarily work night or swing shifts (can be great with a busy family!). When you average 10-12 shifts per month you are considered full-time and eligible for full benefits.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to practicing the highest quality of emergency medicine and critical care. The recruited candidate will join the MedVet Emergency Medicine Team treating over 100,000 patients annually at our 30+ locations.

• Our Lexington hospital has achieved accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). In addition to emergency services, MedVet Lexington offers an Ophthalmology service. We also work closely with our regional hospitals (i.e. MedVet Cincinnati, MedVet Dayton) to collaborate with other board-certified specialists to provide our patients with the best possible care.
• Our Lexington team consists of several long-standing ER doctors who enjoy the fast-paced environment, case variety and having the tools to provide the highest quality of emergency medicine and critical care. • Our current opportunity mostly consists of night shifts, ~10-12 per month.

• Lexington provides the perfect combination of city-country life. In the suburbs, you'll find historic neighborhoods as well as a few equestrian subdivisions. Home of the historic Keeneland Racecourse, University of Kentucky and Transylvania University, you'll find plenty of local entertainment from world class horse racing to sports to live theatrical performances. Majority of bourbon is produced in and around Lexington, providing excellent opportunities for tastings, tours, and festivals to enjoy.
