Hello Veterinary Student,

This letter is an invitation to visit our practice and check out our Intern/Externship program. We are a small animal general practice located in Cincinnati, OH. We may be small but we are mighty! 

What sets us apart?? 

Our hospital is certainly unlike most hospitals. You’re going to feel it the minute you step through the door. It's modern, it’s clean, it's organized, and at times it smells like the beach (LOL but that depends on the candle).

Even though we are one of the smaller hospitals on the list, we are heavy with surgery and procedures. Our veterinarians are well-trained in a variety of different surgeries and dental techniques. You won't be bored with just spays, neuters, and basic dental procedures. Plus, you will have the opportunity to scrub in!!

Our clients, we have some of the best clients. They understand that learning is important for our field and are very patient when a student is in the room. 

Great team of people who truly look out for one another. You will be surrounded by intelligent and caring staff members. We are proudly a technician and assistant-led hospital, meaning we never stop training and supporting them and their goals. We love technology and use the cloud-based practice management software, Ezyvet. This will allow you to get ahead of the game since this is the software OSU uses. A great team and well-working technology propel us to the next level when it comes to hospital flow.

We are a team, and as a team, we share our caseload and bounce ideas off one another. There is never judgment for needing a second opinion or a second pair of hands. We will always be there for you, even if the occasional head-scratching case happens on one of our days off.

About us:

We have 3 Veterinarians along with 4+ RVTs.

Diagnostic capabilities include abdominal ultrasound, in-house lab analyzers for blood and urine, ECG, blood pressure, and digital radiography.

Interns will have primary care, ultrasound, surgical opportunities, and be very hands-on! 

We welcome all veterinary students to visit our practice. Even for first-year students, it is never too early to learn. If you are interested in visiting our practice please contact Jaimee Anderson (jaimee@dpvh.net) and she will help you schedule an Intern/Externship or just a visit.
