Claremont Veterinary Hospital, a small animal hospital in greater Los Angeles, is searching for a skilled veterinarian to lead our team.

As our current Medical Director plans for his upcoming retirement, you will have the opportunity to lead an established clinic with a loyal client base. Dr. Eric Weigand has more than 35 years of experience and is happy to provide mentorship and guidance to our incoming Medical Director before his departure.

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role (4-10s). We’re happy to accommodate NO weekend, emergency, or on-call hours.

In this role you will also build upon our hospital’s current strengths, while elevating our services and encouraging new business ideas. As our Medical Director, you’ll lead a close-knit practice that serves pets from Claremont, Upland, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona, Montclair, Rancho Cucamonga, Alta Loma, and beyond.

We’re searching for:

• Excellent communication skills
• Confidence with small animal medicine
• 5+ years of current, hands-on, clinical experience
• Love for teaching and a willingness to mentor others
• Veterinarian who trusts their technician team (we have multiple RVTs)
• Extra consideration will go to those with leadership experience

About us:

Claremont Veterinary Hospital is a two-doctor team with a highly trained staff that utilize state-of-the-art equipment to care for dogs and cats in the Claremont, CA, community. We perform a large number of dental procedures and provide a range of services, including laparoscopic surgery, TTA, cardiology, dermatology, general wellness, and more! We are proud to have a happy staff with low turnover and are well-equipped with orthopedic instruments, a new endoscope tower, ultrasound, digital radiographs, two dental units, two rigid endoscopes, and more! Located about 30 miles east of LA, Claremont is a beautiful, picturesque town that will make you completely forget you’re in Los Angeles Country. The San Gabriel Mountains along the city’s northern border are great for skiing, scenic hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, and other year-round outdoor adventures.
