The perfect balance of homelife/recreation and work, in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. Full 400 sq foot well stocked fitness center on premises.
Full time benefits include a 4 day work week, health insurance, paid licensure fees, paid vacation, a continuing education stipend, and an opportunity to make extra money covering emergencies IF YOU WANT TO. We do have several excellent emergency clinics in the area, so your off-time is your own. There is the potential to bring a vet tech along to join the practice.
Experienced, compassionate staff. We’re truly a family, having all worked together for at least ten years. The clinic is homey but up-to-date, and our services include orthopedic surgery, endoscopy, in house chemistry, digital radiography, donated work to the local shelter and the police dog program, a TNR program, and a low-cost spay neuter program. Dr. Taylor is the veterinary adviser to the NH Animal Rights League.
We are a cruelty free practice – no declaws, tails/ears, cosmetic surgery of any type. We do not treat exotic “pets”. We require spay/neuter. Euthanasia is offered to end suffering only, and is not available "on demand". We will NEVER ask you to work outside of your comfort zone.
We do NOT work with breeders. Ever.
We are committed to the physical and mental well being of our patients and their families. After over 30 years, our client base is extremely loyal and multi-generational. If you are often disillusioned by the “business" of veterinary medicine and are looking for a place where you can practice empathy as well as medicine, we are the place for you.
Extra points for vegetarian/vegan.
Buy out potential exists if you are interested.
We are ready to start as soon as you are. Graduating in the Spring? Contact us - maybe we can work this out.
We hope that you will want to practice the same type of compassionate, empathetic medicine that we do. Good, quality medicine that is both affordable and up-to-date.
Full time? Your work week will be Monday-Thursday, roughly 8 hours a day. Part time? We will work around your schedule if you have kids at home or just don't want to do the 9 to 5 thing. Emergency coverage is available locally, but IF YOU DESIRE you can cover some emergencies for additional compensation.
This is a relatively small town. People will consider you part of their "family". It's a great feeling. It has made this a job I look forward to coming to every single day.
We are a busy, privately owned small animal clinic (dogs and cats). We have been in the area for over thirty years and have an extremely good reputation. We consider ourselves and ethical, cruelty free practice. We do no cosmetic surgery, declawing, debarking, or euthanasia without compelling medical necessity. We do not work with breeders or promote breeding, and we strongly advocate spay./neuter. Our office is well stocked, with digital radiology, on-site chemistry, endoscopy, orthopedics, etc. Our staff is experienced and compassionate. We have all worked together for over ten years. We also have a well-equipped on-site fitness center. We are located in the scenic Lakes Region of New Hampshire, barely an hour from the White Mountains, the seacoast, and Boston. An apartment is available as part the the perks we offer.
